The chief academic officer of the university is the Rector. Rector of Georgian Aviation University is Sergo Tepnadze, Doctor of the technical sciences, professor, the member of the Georgian Engineering Academy, New York academy of sciences and International Transport Academy.
Professor Sergo Tepnadze is the author of more than 100 scientific reports, 4 monographs and 5 text-books. He is also an editor of scientific magazine “Air Transport”. He is the founder of Aviation University in Georgia.
For the taken part and accomplishment in training and teaching young personnel Sergo Tepnadze was awarded with the Medal of Honor and Diploma from Cambridge International Center.
